While some of our products are shipped directly from Belle Escape via FedEx Ground, many are shipped directly from manufacturers via various ground or freight carriers. Shipping and delivery days are Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. For products that we don't stock, estimated shipping times are noted in the product description. Most In-stock furniture items will be shipped within one to two weeks of placing your order and should be received within 7 to 10 business days after shipping. Sometimes, shipping delays that are not within the control of Belle Escape occur. When you purchase an item from Belle Escape, we cannot guarantee a delivery date, as the shipping industry sometimes experiences backlogs and staff shortages that can delay delivery by days or sometimes weeks. By purchasing from us, you agree that you understand that delays can occur.
Many of our products, especially hand-painted furniture, are made to order and can take between 4 and 12 weeks to ship. Door-to-door shipping is free for furniture going to an address in the continental U.S.. This means your furniture will be delivered in boxes to the front of your home at no additional charge. If you want White Glove Service, select this option in the drop-down box next to your order item. Please note that "White Glove" service includes delivery on the first floor; for items going up a flight of stairs, please select "White Glove Delivery with Stairs". If you have multiple furniture items, please call us for an estimate so we can get you the most affordable price possible. Once an order is placed, we will confirm an estimated shipping timeframe with you via email.
Free Shipping Conditions
Free shipping only applies to the contiguous U.S. (excludes Alaska and Hawaii). Addresses that are "Remote" or accessible only by "Ferry" will incur an extra fee of $275 at the time of shipping. Addresses considered "Remote" by shipping carriers, which could mean in the mountains or countryside, will incur additional fees ($495 - $995). Belle Escape reserves the right to add extra fees for shipping when the piece is oversized and/or the address is outside of normal delivery areas. In this case, we will provide a Custom Quote.
White Glove Conditions
White Glove delivery includes 15 minutes of assembly. Some items, such as some beds, large cabinets with multiple pieces, and anything with a canopy, additional charges will apply for assembly. Standard White Glove Fees apply only to items that can be carried by two people into a home that is no more than 20-feet from the curb and with easy access through, and an elevator, or up a door or up a stairwell.
Additional fees will apply if your home is not easily accessible from the road (more than 20-feet from the truck).
Additional fees apply if an item requires more than two guys to get it up a stairwell.
Additional fees apply if a crane is required to get a piece into your home on a higher floor.
Remote Location
There is a minimum $295 additional fee for Remote locations. We cannot pre-quote this because the fee depends upon the final weight of the item. You will be notified once the item is ready if the carrier applies a Remote Location fee.
International Shipping
Please contact us for international shipping quotes. Items shipped outside of the U.S. cannot be returned or canceled. If shipping damage occurs with the carrier, you are responsible for not accepting the item and filing a claim directly with the carrier.
Antiques
Antique items are sold in their original condition. Antiques have natural cracks and aging effects. Antiques cannot be returned. All sales are final.
Returns
BelleEscape.com will happily offer you a refund on most items if you return those items (exceptions are listed below) in their original condition within 7 days of receipt. ALL returns must be shipped back in the original packaging. Please note that the color of an item may vary on your screen. If you choose to return an item due to the color or any reason, you will be liable for outbound and return shipping, plus a restocking fee of 20%. Once the original item is returned, you will receive a CREDIT for the amount of the item, excluding shipping costs and a 20% restocking fee. Please inspect your furniture upon arrival to determine if there are any damages. If you detect any damage, do not accept the delivery and note the damage on the delivery form. If your item is damaged during delivery, we will repair it. If a repair is not possible, we will replace it as quickly as possible if it is in stock, or we will file a claim, pick up the damaged item, and issue a refund once the claim is processed. If the box is dropped off, damages must be reported within 24 hours. In the event of special promotions or discounts, Belle Escape reserves the right to apply additional rules. Those rules will be posted on the relevant promotions pages at the time the offer is valid. Maritime Damage
Most of our furniture is shipped from Indonesia or South America. In rare instances, containers can get damaged in transit. If this happens, we will make the piece you ordered again and re-ship it as soon as it is ready. Maritime damage is typically related to sudden storms on the high seas. It is very rare, but it can happen, and Belle Escape cannot be held liable for damages and delays for which we have no control.

Belle Escape will not accept ANY returns or exchanges after 30 days (determined from the date you received the merchandise) for ANY reason.
Items Made Upon Order
Hand-painted furniture has no returns, as these items are made for you upon order. Because we do not stock these items and they have been ordered especially for you, they can not be canceled or returned. We initiate the production process within three days of placing your order and pay to make it upfront, so custom orders cannot be canceled. Custom orders take 14-20 weeks to produce and ship, depending on the item. Damages
Damages are rare as our items are very well packed. But please inspect your items upon delivery. If an item is damaged, this must be noted on the delivery invoice, and we will need photos of the broken item and box. IF AN ITEM IS DAMAGED, DO NOT ACCEPT IT from the delivery company. If damaged items are accepted with White Glove Delivery, the DAMAGE MUST BE NOTED ON THE DELIVERY RECEIPT, AND THE RESOLUTION IS A REPAIR, NOT A REPLACEMENT. IF YOU ACCEPT AN ITEM WITH DAMAGE, YOU AGREE THAT YOU ACCEPT IT AS IS WITH THE UNDERSTANDING THAT WE WILL REPAIR IT TO THE BEST OF OUR ABILITY ONE TIME. ANY FURTHER REPAIRS WILL BE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.
In the event that the box is dropped off without your signature, DAMAGES MUST BE REPORTED WITHIN 24 HOURS of the delivery. Our products are handmade, and colors and textures will vary. Therefore, VARIATIONS IN COLORS AND TEXTURES ARE NOT CONSIDERED DAMAGE. Contact us immediately about the damage and email the photos to info@belleescape.com. If the damage is reported within 24 hours and/or the damage is noted on the delivery form, Belle Escape will arrange for the damaged item to be picked up and a new one to be delivered to you as quickly as possible. Once a furniture item is accepted in good condition, Belle Escape is not responsible for any damage that occurs while the piece is in your possession. All items pass a quality inspection before they ship, and when you accept an item, it is now in your care. Any damage or breakage that happens while the furniture is in your care is your responsibility.
Order Cancelations
We reserve the right to cancel any order, including orders for discontinued items, items priced at zero by accident, items that cannot be reasonably delivered to the shipping address, or for any legitimate reason. By agreeing to these terms, users, as reasonable adults, understand this.
Non-custom orders may be canceled within 24 hours for a full refund. An order must be canceled BEFORE it ships, which is usually 2-7 days after it is placed. Once an item ships, an order can be canceled or refused, but shipping both ways, plus a restocking fee, will be deducted from the original amount paid.
Coupons
Coupons can be used during the active period. Two coupons cannot be combined. Coupons cannot be used on sale items. Designers and the Trade with an existing discount cannot combine a coupon with their discount. However, if we have an active coupon for more than their discount, they can use that instead but must call in to place an order. If a coupon is combined with a Designer or Trade discount or Sale price, that discount will be taken off and charged to the order.
Coupons and Trade Discounts do not apply to items made upon order, customized items, or one-of-a-kind French antiques.
